Who we are

We’re a small team here at Constant Contact and we build and develop applications and tools using a variety of technologies. If it is something we think can help the business - we’re interested.

Here is our mission statement:

Guided by the longer term needs of the business; research, experiment and prototype new technologies and introduce these new technologies to the mainstream development and operations teams for use and inclusion in future product delivery.

What we do

Just about anything - we like to build end-user apps that are not on the direct product roadmap, we like to build apps that are useful to our internal folks, we are interested in backend technologies particularly those that involve large data set management and anything else that we think will help the company.

We have three key areas of focus: 

• Find areas where we can leverage new technologies to assist small businesses to better reach and communicate with their customers.
• Prototype new technologies in order to enhance our understanding of those technologies and to subsequently share our learning’s with internal development teams
• Develop tools and utilities that assist us with internal needs.

We will be blogging about the technologies and applications we are working with in order to share our experiences, our knowledge and to generate discussion about a variety of technologies.  Over time you will find sample applications, test apps and more mature “beta-level” applications.
