The conta.cc link shortener app is a small web app for internal use that helps employees create Constant Contact-branded short links from any URL.

Constant Contact makes use of bit.ly, a URL-shortening service, for our link-shortening needs. We also use bit.ly’s hosted-domain service to turn any shortened URL linking to constantcontact.com into a branded custom domain, conta.cc . This works automatically for anyone submitting a constantcontact.com link to bit.ly, but we also wanted to provide the internal ability to make conta.cc-branded short links to other domains - for example, when @ConstantContact wants to post a shortened Twitter link to a customer’s web site!
The conta.cc link shortener app is a small web app Labs developed for the Constant Contact corporate LAN that turns any URL into a conta.cc-branded short link. Using it, we’re able to create branded links to anything - company blogs, support forums, FAQs, customer newsletters, and the like. The app also integrates a bookmarklet named “conta.cc current page” that, when dragged to the browser’s bookmarks toolbar, lets anyone on the corporate LAN create a short URL for the page currently open in his or her browser with a single click.

Hello,
I love the link shortener because it is a real clear way to link to an other site. Now what I would love is when this would be applied to the text version of an email.
Now when I make an email it reads a very long (and not very sexy) link in the text version. In the html version this is not a problem because is it covert between the <a> tags.
So my suggestion is that conta.cc also be used in the email client and then especially in the text version. Makes it look a whole lot sexier
Thank!
Rolf
