1.0 beta 1
QuickView for Android provides a way to keep up with your latest Constant Contact Email Marketing campaign results, contact lists, and contacts on any Android-powered mobile device. This application can run on any mobile Android device running version 1.6 or greater including Droid, Droid Eris, and the new Nexus One phone offered by Google. Additionally a Constant Contact username and password (either through a paid or a trial account) is required.
When you are away from work, viewing the results of your most recent email campaign or adding a new contact just isn't an option. Wouldn't it be nice to see how many of your subscribers opened your latest newsletter? How about adding a contact and sending them your latest campaign? Now you can.
Introducing QuickView for Android. The mobile application created by Constant Contact Labs that allows Constant Contact customers to keep tabs on their accounts remotely. Keep up with your latest Constant Contact Email Marketing campaign results, contact lists, and contacts on any Android-powered mobile device.
Note: The Quickview for Android project has been open-sourced! Please look here for more information.
When you first start QuickView for Android you will be presented with a login screen featuring the Constant Contact logo, input boxes for your Constant Contact username and password, and a login button.
Additionally there is a button to start a free trial. Use this if you do not already have a Constant Contact account. It will redirect you to a sign-up page where you can create a trial account. From that point you will be able to return to the QuickView application and login.
To login simply enter your username and password in the appropriate input boxes and click the button titled “Login”. A loading screen will show you the login progress and if the username and password are valid you will directed to the main application. If the credentials are invalid an error message will be displayed and you will be asked to login again using the correct credentials.
Be aware that three unsuccessful logins within a short time will lock you out of your Constant Contact account.
From any point within the main tabs (Emails, Contact Lists, Contacts) you will be able to log out of the application by bringing up the menu items and selecting “Log Out”.
Upon successful login you will reach the main application page. It consists of three tabs titled "Emails" (showing), "Contact Lists" (hidden), and "Contacts" (hidden). Clicking on any of the top tabs will show you the appropriate tab view. Each main tab has its own additional functionality which will be described in the sections below.
When you first login the "Emails" tab will be visible. It displays a graph of your most recent campaign (if you have one), the name and send date of the campaign, and both open and click rate for the campaign.
Below this is a list of all sent campaigns in order of most recently sent. If you have sent more than fifty campaigns you will be able to load more campaigns by clicking the "Load More Campaigns" button at the very bottom of the sent campaigns list. By clicking the most recent campaign or any of you other sent campaigns from the list, you will be presented with the details for that campaign.
At the top of the Email Details page the campaign name, the date the campaign was sent, and the total emails that were successfully sent out are all displayed. Below that is a graph depicting the open and click rates (if any) followed by two buttons with the open rate followed by the click rate.
These two buttons are enabled (clickable) only if there is an open rate or click rate for the button. Clicking on an enabled button will take you to a list of all the contacts that either opened the selected campaign or clicked a link within it. The list will display fifty contacts at a time and give the option to load more contacts at the bottom of the list.
At the footer of the page there are buttons for (from left to right) forwards, opt-outs, spam, and bounces. Similar to the open and click rate buttons these buttons are only enabled if there is at least one forward, opt-out, etc… Again, clicking on a enabled button will show a list of contacts that were bounces for example if you clicked the "bounces" button.
If you click the tab titled "Contact Lists" a list of your Constant Contact lists will be displayed showing only the name of each list. Lists will be displayed fifty at a time with the option to load additional lists by clicking on the "Load More Lists" at the bottom of the page. Clicking on any of the lists will show a list of members in that list (see next section for more info).
The list members page shows a listing of contacts that belong to the selected list. At the header you will see the name of the currently selected list followed by a list of the first fifty contacts (or all contacts if less than fifty) within that list. Again, the option to load more members is available by clicking the last item titled "Load More Contacts". Clicking a contact will display the selected contact's information.
To add a new list to your constant contact account type in your desired list name and click the "Done" button. On successful creating of the list you will be taken back to the "Contact Lists" main tab and the newly added list will be included. Ensure that your list name is unique or adding the new list will fail. Click the "Cancel" button to move back to the "Contact Lists" main tab.
Clicking on the tab titled “Contacts” will display a contact search page. To search for a contact enter the email address of the contact you wish to find and click the "Find Contact" button. If found the contact's detail information will be displayed otherwise a not found message will be displayed. Use the "Clear" button to clear the email address input box.
To add a new contact simply input the desired information for the new contact (Email Address is required), click the button titled "Contact list subscriptions" and select the list or lists you want the new contact to belong to (at least one list is required), and finally click the "Done" button. If it is the first contact you have added you will have to agree to the permissions. Read them and accept and the new contact will be saved. Click the "Revert" button to clear all the text from the input fields.
When you click on a particular contact or search for a contact you will see that selected contact's detail information. Only the information that is stored about the contact will be displayed so at the very least you will be able to view the contact's email address and the list or lists they belong to (if any).
The edit contact page is just a populated add contact page. The fields that exist will be filled in and the lists that the contact belongs to (if any) will be selected in "Contact list subscriptions". Add or change any information about the contact you want and select “Done” to make the update the contact information. Click the "Revert" button to change all the values back to before your changes.

Hi Shauna, We’ve actually moved on from developing an Android app to developing a full-blown mobile web app instead. It’s Android-compatible, and you can learn more here: http://conta.cc/bVw8qE
